Sony extends their line of 3D ready products. After the release of the BRAVIA NX810 line of 3DTVs, Sony has announced today the company’s first 3D front projector, model VPL-VW90ES. The Sony VPL-VW90ES, aside from being 3D ready, also features 1080p HD at 1920 x 1080 resolution, a native contrast ratio of 80000:1 and SRXD display technology. However, Sony mentions that the contrast ratio can reach 150000:1.
This product extends Sony’s line of 3D capable products and targets 3D home theater enthusiasts but also 3D gamers who are expected to be overjoyed by the possibilities with the Sony VPL-VW90ES 3D projector. The device will allow gamers to play popular 3D games like Gran Turismo 5 and Wip3out in crystal clear high definition and Sony expects its new device to become very popular in the 3D gamers’ community.
